The story goes that one of his customers brought in a Breitling watch and asked Chip to make his car the same color. This was the result, a 1970 Plymouth Barrauda painted in Terracuda Brown with California Gold stripes, both of which are part of Foose's new line of paints developed with BASF.The unibody of the original car was removed and replaced with a custom frame designed by Chip and built by Art Carr, and every panel of the car has been changed in some way. Chip wasn't satisfied with the front tires symmetry with the front bumpers and fenders, so they've been moved forward three inches to create less of an overhang, and the rear bumper has been cut down and tucked in. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/05/sema-2008-chip-foose-unveils-his-latest-creation-the-terracuda/
400 hours of work just in the front bumperHere's the odd part, it was inspired when car fanatic Daren Metropoulos of New York met with Foose and showed him a Breitling watch – with a bronze anodized face - and said “THIS is the color I want.”
So why doesn't anyone by that name show up on the internet, anywhere?

and look through the June 2007 issue of Streetrodder magazine, pages 196-208. So amazing.
Some of the cool touches these guys and companies put on the pedal cars, take you right past the notion that you are looking at a kids plaything. Louvered hood, cyclops air induction, big and littles, working gauges, working lights, a triplet of carb tubes through the hood, scallops, stance, mini Moon Eyes discs, upholstery, custom rims, custom hub caps... nothing is off the shelf.
Everything that was made to suit the design taste and aesthetic of the individual car customizer is a one off, right off the work bench (or maybe 4 at a time for the rolling stock) but just amazing for the context that these guys do not work on this miniature scale.
